Say NO to Soft Drinks and Beverages!

We all are used to drinking aerated and carbonated beverages whenever we feel thirsty and don't have water. But do you know how harmful they are for your health!
DISADVANTAGES OF DRINKING BEVERAGES
1. Obesity: Sugary carbonated drinks are nowadays go to drinks for children and adolescents. Excessive intake of these drinks can cause obesity and slow down metabolism. Since these drinks have zero nutritional value, these should not be included in their diet.
2. Fatty liver disease: Carbonated beverages can cause non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. These drinks contain a type of sweetener that is only processed by the liver unlike glucose which can be processed by cells.
3. Bones become brittle: Carbonated drinks contain phosphate levels in them that can impact the calcium storage in your body. Increased amounts of phosphate in your blood soaks up the bone calcium making the bones brittle leading to increased chances of fracture.
4. Kidney stones: Increased intake of acidic beverages lead to imbalance in the urine composition and kidney stones.
5. Diabetes: There is an increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes in people who drink too much sugary drinks.
6. Heart health: Carbonated beverages impact your heart health. Drinking soft drinks regularly can lead to heart attacks.
7. Ageing: Drinking soft drinks and aerated beverages can speed up the process of ageing due to increased phosphate levels in the body. 
8. Sleep: Caffeine found in the soft drinks can act as a stimulant and disrupt the normal sleep cycle.
9. Dehydration: Caffeine acts as a diuretic and flushes out all the excess water in the body leading to dehydration. So next time when you want to hydrate yourself DO NOT DRINK SOFT DRINKS AND CARBONATED DRINKS.
